Reunion Events

Friday night, August 7

Classmates arrive at hotel. Opening night dinner at Hong Kong East Ocean Restaurant, Emeryville.

Saturday and Sunday, August 8-9

Daytime: Each day will be a coach tour. Dress casually, but prepare for chilly and windy conditions in San Francisco

Evening: We have the use of the hotel meeting room with mountain view on Saturday, and a room to ourselves at the restaurant on Sunday.

Dress Code

As you know, the dress code is less formal in the U.S., especially considering these are classmates we will be in company with. Since a couple of you have asked, we can make some suggestions for your reference.

For the kick-off dinner at East Ocean Restaurant on Friday night, dress smart casual. There will be group photos taken. On Saturday, the daytime activities at the wine country involve minimal walking, and casual clothing will do. But in the evening, we will have dinner at the Berkeley City Club, an elegant, classic building. The club has no dress code. If you prefer a jacket and leather shoes, you would need to bring them with you in the morning, as there will not be time in between to get changed. For Sunday, dress down for a day in the park, and dinner is at a Chinese restaurant mainly catering to family-style local customers.

San Francisco at Golden Gate Bridge, and Friday dinner by the Emeryville marina can get cool and windy. Bring some layered clothing just in case.
